Real work, described plainly.
Examples from 30 years of work. Clients and employers are not named, and nothing is added that didn't happen.
One place for projects and documents, with one login
The situation
The business needed a single place to plan its work and keep its documentation, instead of scattering it.
What I did
I chose and bought the licences, set up Jira for tracking work and Confluence for documentation, connected single sign-on so staff use one login, and created and ran the first projects.
How it turned out
The team had one system for work and documents, set up and running, with one login for everyone.
A network looked at end to end, from cables to training
The situation
An office wanted its network and Wi-Fi checked properly, not patched one problem at a time.
What I did
I evaluated the cable runs and equipment, recommended and purchased what was needed, installed and configured the Wi-Fi, deployed it, and trained the staff.
How it turned out
A network installed from the ground up, and a team that knew how to use it.
Tens of thousands of accounts, kept in order
The situation
More than 50,000 people needed their accounts created, changed and removed, in line with strict security rules.
What I did
I handled user management at that scale and integrated the platforms the company relied on, working with the teams that owned them.
How it turned out
Accounts managed across the company in compliance with its security protocols.
Teaching customers their new tools
The situation
Customers were adopting new products and features and needed to understand them, and to get help when their own networks got in the way.
What I did
I demonstrated new products, trained customers on site and remotely, troubleshot their network setups, and wrote and updated the documentation and training materials.
How it turned out
Customers were trained on their tools, with documentation to go back to.
Building and protecting networks island-wide
The situation
Businesses in the south and north of Puerto Rico needed computers and networks installed and kept running.
What I did
I installed hardware, operating systems and software, administered Windows servers and clients, built and maintained the networks, and recommended and implemented security: firewall policies, router access lists and network monitoring.
How it turned out
Networks installed and maintained across both parts of the island, with security built in.
Running my own business systems like a careful IT department
The situation
A one-person business still needs a website, a way to receive requests, and systems that don't break when something changes.
What I did
My website and customer requests run on Odoo in my own homelab. Every change goes to a test copy first, with a backup before each update. The contact form has spam protection and sends me an alert for every real message.
How it turned out
The same care I would give a client, applied to my own systems first. This website is the result.
