Business terms
- Service area: Sacramento region and Bay Area; remote help is available where the problem is suitable.
- Travel: no travel charge within about 20 miles of central Sacramento. Farther out, including the Bay Area, a travel charge of about $25 to $60 depending on distance, and availability, are confirmed in writing before booking.
- Payment: card, electronic payment, or cash after the session. Prices are final: no sales tax is added.
- Cancellation: cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the appointment at no charge. A cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, or a missed appointment, is charged the fee in the menu above ($25 remote, $50 in person), and never the full price of the session. Your first late cancellation is waived.
- Time: every session includes 10 minutes of grace that is never charged. Before the time runs out, I check with you: stop here, keep going, or book a follow-up.
- Extra time: if the problem you booked for needs longer, finishing it is covered by the no-cost follow-up below, or we keep going now at no charge when the schedule allows. New requests added during a session (“while you're here, can you also…”) are extra time, $45 remote or $70 in person per 30 minutes, agreed before we start them.
- Time blocks: prepaid 2-hour blocks ($165 remote, $250 in person) can be used in 30-minute steps across sessions and don't expire. The 3-hour Tech Afternoon ($375) suits a household with a list of jobs.
- If it isn't fixed: if the problem can be fixed but isn't solved in the session, or simply needs more time, the follow-up session is at no cost.
- Hours and response: Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Pacific, with replies within one business day.
